The Client

Client, a large European mobile telecommunications operator, serving some 4.25 million customers every day, offers a wide range of mobile telecommunications products and services to private and professional customers. This offering includes traditional voice services, data services (SMS, MMS), a wide range of mobile solutions for companies and roaming agreements with more than 260 foreign networks in more than 170 countries.

The Challenge

The client had a legacy, web-based (Java) billing audit application which facilitated account inquiries for all mobile services and equipment. The application could not scale to accommodate commercial account inquires for business enterprises with thousands of SIM cards, supporting voice, data usage. Business users needed to manage the escalating costs of employee usage and needed a robust, enterprise level support application that would meet market growth.

The Solution

As a CMMi level 5 certified outsourcing provider, Objectiva understands the importance of strong communication with onshore project management, onsite technical directors, and documentation and decision checkpoints. Objectiva fielded a European onsite and China-based team initiative to design and execute the migration of a Java based application to a J2EE ERP solution. Objectiva worked with both the client’s internal team, as well as external providers to develop the design documentation for the technology migration and manned a development effort resulting in a zero defects application that mimics all user functionality as well as a system response time which meets or exceeds previous standards.
